1. Login in EMMA and go to Communication > Messaging.
2. Select the +Add message button to select the communication format.
3. Choose between the different types of communication the one you can scheduled:
The Banner is the basic communication format that you can use to comunícate specific messages in the screen of your App.
You can delimitate the number of impressions, the time that the communication will appear in the screen or the position (top or bottom). In addition, the banner can be a simply informative image or can be clickable and it redirects the user to wherever you want, to another tab within the application (via deeplink) or to an external url:
Interaction URL: URL you want to redirect the users when they click on the banner. It can be a website or a specific section of your app (with a deeplink).
Position on screen: In which part of the screen you want to display your Banner.
Open: Set where the banner is opened:
- In App: Banner will open into your App
- Default Browser: Banner will open out your App
Shown time (segundos): the seconds you want to display the banner on the app. Select the Custom option to personalize your display duration.
Image: set your creativity (jpg, png, gif) with a standar measure (620x100px for smartphones and 768x90px for tablets), if it is bigger you can drag your cursor to select the part of the image you want to show in the Banner. You can always see the preview in the mobile screen that appears on the right side.
The Startview is an intersticial that will be displayed all over the screen and it will be shown when the app is opened or when the user does an action like open a specific screen, click in a button...
You don't have to upload an graphic image, you have to introduce an url with the content you want to show in the option of Creative Url. In this Url you can host an image, a video... or you can use a normal web site to redirect the user where he will can navigate.
The conventional size of the Startview is 320x480px. We recommend you to develop a responsive layout with HTML y CSS that adapts your format to all mobile devices and so you will avoid display problems.
You can also select if you want to appear the button to close the Startview selecting Yes o No in the option of Close button.
The Adball is a communication format with shape of bubble that will appear in the app screen when the user opens the app.
If you click in the Adball, the Url that you introduce in the Url Interactive will be displayed. We recommend the web content has been structured as responsive to visualize it correctly in all mobile devices.
To close ir you only have to drag it to the bottom of the screen.
Position on screen: you can select where on the screen you want your Adball appears.

4. Dynamic Tab
The Dynamic Tab is a communication format that that contains the info that is going to be displayed as a new tab in your TabBar. Have on mind that you must have a TabBar on your APP to activate this format.
We recommend the web content has been structured as responsive to visualize it correctly in all mobile devices.
- Tab Title: allows to set the name for the new tab.
- Tab Index: sets the position of your communication in the TabBar.
Strip is a communication format that appears on the top bar of the screen where the hour, battery...appear.
The Strip will hide this information to show the copy you introduce and that will be displayed in the status bar.
Message: introduce the text you want to show in the Strip.
Shown time (segundos): seconds when strip will be shown in the app. Select the Custom option to personalize the viewing period or choose Permanent if you want to show it always.
Text color: select the color of the message.
Background color: select the color of the background of the strip.
The Coupon is a format that allows you to redeem coupons if you have a physical place to control the number of redeems, the promo code and the start/ end dates.
Whit the Coupon you will can generate targeted promotions and control if your users use them.
You only have to introduce the message you want to show in the Coupon with the promo code, and EMMA will generate a QR code so you users can exchange it in your physical place.
It is important that in the option of Max redeems, you set the maximum number of times the coupon could be used per user:
You must take into account that coupons are shown by the customer id field. So, if in the coupon segment there is one user with the same customer id that other(s) user(s) who aren't in the segment, the coupon it will be shown to them.
7. Native Ad
The Native Ad is a format that includes your communications always respecting the format and style of the platform's contents. The spaces reserved for advertising are moved and integrated into the content, becoming part of the user's experience when they visit the app.
In order to view these types of campaigns you will need to define in your application code how these native ads will look.
You will then be able to choose from the available templates and depending on which one you choose, you will have to put the texts, images and links you want to show.
Once the template has been chosen , if it was assigned tags, this is the moment to select the wanted tag for this template. You can choose a tag or none, but you can't choose more than one at the same time.
Remember that the templates are defined from the Native Template screen and the SDK provides the fields for that the application developer to customize the Native Ad for your App.
